Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) – This program will provide grants for disabled in Tennessee that can be used to help pay utility bills. If your application is approved, the grant will be paid directly to the utility provider and your account will be credited. They can also help in crisis situations if you have received a disconnect notice. The program provides a grant once per year, but you can re-apply for help each year that you have a low income. The applications for are taken quarterly, in the months of January, April, July, and October.

 

Medicaid – If you need help paying for a medical bill or need free healthcare, you may qualify for Medicaid. The federal program pays for medical care for those who qualify. Their programs will help with addressing homelessness, providing food, clothing, emergency services, and more.
